FOOD TRUCKS
Defiance Café was founded in 2024 by Chaney and Dana Harrison in Swannanoa, North Carolina. The purpose: give hard-working people access to fresh grab-and-go food.
Hit by Hurricane Helene, the two opened the kitchen in mid-October, and delivered more than 16,000 meals to volunteers and families in need over the following four months.
Dedicated to service, Chaney has a background as an Air Force Pararescueman. He provides search and rescue and sustainment efforts across the Valley and beyond, including logistical deliveries to isolated communities — which in part identified and inspired the purpose of Defiance Café.
Chaney and Dana are committed to the rebuilding and revitalization of the Swannanoa Valley, and are so excited to share the vision, and food, with you.
Treat your taste buds to the most amazingly fine, flavored shaved ice this side of the islands. The Kona Ice experience will amplify any event! From our steel drum music to the signature Flavorwave® where guests can flavor their own shaved ice, we guarantee to bring the fun, laughter and flavor.
